Andrew & Julia + Engagement Session Part 2

Wednesday, December 24, 2008
Tuesday, December 23rd, 2008 + Balboa Pier & Newport Beach

The sun finally decided to show it's face (ironically in sunny California), and Andrew, Julia, and myself hit the beach! Julia is originally from California, so she knows how beautiful it can be in Southern California. This trip was Andrew's first trip though. He is from a number of cold and beachless places, so I was happy to be able to capture some moments where they were enjoying each other and the weather. These two are so incredibly in love! The entire day they had their eyes glued on each other, their tendons were simply inseparable, and they looked at one another with glances of sweet adoration. We certainly had such a great day. Thank you Julia & Andrew for sharing your time, and your love with me!
There go those eyes of adoration!

I know he is thinking that he has the best view in the world!

In your arms of love..

Holding you close....
Peak-a-boo!Rescue me.....If feels as though they are sitting at the end of the earth...Look at that rock! Good job Andrew.Passion.Joy.
Peace.
Here is to a lifetime of happiness you two!

Julia & Andrew + Engagement

Tuesday, December 23, 2008
Monday, December 22nd, 2008 + Old Towne Orange, CA

Julia is my best friend in the entire world. I have known her for the entirety of her life. It has been such an amazing experience to grow up with her. Now I get to watch her grow old with the love of her life! Julia and Andrew flew out from Annapolis, Maryland. Julia attends the United States Naval Academy. I was super bummed when I found out the weather was going to be so horrible when they came. So, you will see a few photoshoots of this beautiful couple. The weather has cleared up today, so we are on our way to Newport Beach! But yesterday, we braved the weather, and went to Old Towne Orange (aka the Circle of Orange). It certainly was a blistery day, but these two warmed the entire place with their love. Congratulations Julia and Andrew! I am so happy for you, and blessed to be a part of your life!
Eyes of adoration. Arms of protection.

Baby it's cold outside!

Capturing a moment. Go Andrew!

She is so gorgeous!

Timeless love
Sweet like candy!
Possible cake toppers! They are just so cute (not the toppers, Andrew & Julia)
Can't wait til May 2009!

Maryana & Christopher + Home Session

Sunday, December 21, 2008
Saturday, December 20th, 2008 + Laguna Hills, CA
Today I got to shoot one of my very FAVORITE work friend's baby! Maryana is my partner in crime at our school when it comes to the AVID program. She teahes 9th grade (they call her the AVID mama), and I get the privilege to be with the 10th graders. We were roomies at summer institute, share our first period prep, and spend endless hours sharing stories of our families. I was so excited to finally get to "meet" Christopher. From the moment I walked into her house, he smiled from grin to grin. We had a good time playing around all day. Simply put, he melted my heart! I am sure all of you will agree with me that he is quite possibly one of the best looking babies around! Enjoy our fun day with Christopher. Maryana, thank you for being such a wonderful and supportive friend!

He is such a model baby!

Can you say STUD MUFFIN!?

Merry Christmas Mommy!
Hey you!

Michelle & Lauren + Baby Session

Thursday, December 11, 2008
Thursday, December 11th, 2008 Home Session + Huntington Beach, CA
I am very privileged to be a teacher. I am blessed to work with some remarkable individuals. One of these very special people is Michelle. She is a special education teacher. As you might imagine, she pours a lot of love into numerous people. I feel honored to be able to take pictures of her beautiful baby girl, Lauren. I wish their family a lifetime of happiness, with wonderful, deep, and loving memories for every step of the way. Tonight Michelle asked me what type of photography I would like to specialize in. The only way that I could answer her was to say "photojournalistic." I just want to be there for people to capture the most important moments of their lives. It seems like Michelle just left work for maternity leave, and now she has a three month old daughter! Time sure does fly by, which is why I am glad that I am pursuing a passion that allows us to freeze those special moments in time.

Lauren is nearly 3 months old now, and as beautiful as ever.
Her mother holds her with great love.
She is such a cutie! These are Lauren's booties. They actually also happened to be her mother, Michelle's booties.
Such gorgeous eyes. Watch out Dad!

Kelii & Pua + Family Photo Session

Tuesday, December 9, 2008
Sunday, December 7th, 2008 Harbor Island Park + San Diego, CA

My cousin Pua was gracious enough to allow me to photograph her beautiful family. It was quite the gloomy day, but we made the best of it! This photo session, in fact, inspired me to name my business K'Aloha Photography. There were many other names that came to mind, but the true essence of family was born in the name K'Aloha Photography. Pua and I are Hawaiian. Every culture has their special notions and traditions. As Hawaiians, we possess the deep tradition of Aloha. Aloha is love, commitment, and joy. Aloha is where you stand, how you see life, and how you choose to pursue it all. Aloha is family. Thus, I hope that you enjoy my journey through the love, commitment, and joy of the lives that I am privileged to capture through my lens. I hope you will visit often and send your own notions of Aloha along the way. For now, enjoy the moments that I was able to capture with my ohana.

She is such a great mother!Would you believe that he is only 3 years old?!Just the three of them.
They are so in love. Such good parents.
